Our approach is inspired by modern I Ching scholars such as Gao Heng and Li Jingchi, who focused on understanding the Zhou Yi as a Bronze-Age divination text before later philosophical commentaries were added. These commentaries are valuable, but they can make it harder to see the original divinatory message clearly.
